Academic Focus Area:
Fine Arts Integration (visual, instrumentral, vocal, theater) in core curriculum with project based learning and unique modes of assessing student mastery.
Apprenticeship and Career Pathways from grade 9-12 with job shadow, career and technical options and capstone apprenticeships.
Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) with the Minneapolis Career and Technical College (MCTC) located 3 blocks from FAIR allows students to easily access college level courses and curriculum while in high school. FAIR matches schedules and has a unique partnership with MCTC to guide students through the enrollment and orientation processes.
College and Career Center is funded by Achieve Minneapolis to support students in accessing, selecting and applying for post secondary study. The center is onsite at FAIR and staff by an licsensed school counselor.
Social Emotional Supports:
Strong emphasis on the Social Emotional Learning of student through a daily advisory program designed to support students personal and academic development. The Advisory program covers goal setting, skill building, social justice awareness and academic progress monitoring. Each student is assigned to an advisory wtih a consistent adult in a 1:12 ratio. In addition, our unique Social Work intern program provides students with masters level social work graduate students who provide consultation and guidance for academics and social emotional needs in working with families and students. FAIR's Peer Coaching program pairs successful juniors and seniors with freshman and sophomores in need of peer support in academics and navigating high school.

Located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, student access The FAIR School via the Metro Transit system. Partnerships with arts and business organizations in the downtown area enhance the student experience. As a City Wide program, The FAIR School is open to all Minneapolis high school students and students in the first ring suburbs of the metro area. Any high school student is eligible to attend FAIR and encouraged to apply through the Minneapolis Public Schools enrollment website.
