As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, Southwest High School provides a broad and balanced curriculum with flexibility of choice within the program. Students achieve holistic learning, intercultural awareness, academic rigor, community service, critical thinking and inquiry skills, reflection, research skills, and development of international understanding.

Southwest also offers an array of accredited Advanced Placement courses, College in the Schools courses, English Learner program and Special Education program to augment and support the needs of all students. We offer innovative Career Technology Education (CTE) courses to meet the expanding needs of students and their needs for the next half-century. Throughout their four-year high school journey, students are offered opportunities and challenges to promote their intellectual, personal, emotional and social growth.
